Supporting Queer Youth

LESSON 1 - Supporting Queer Youth

A vital aspect of being an educator is becoming a lifelong learner. In order to best serve all students (we) must be open to learning new information and adapting to change.

This is especially true when it comes to understanding 2SLGBTQ+ identities. In this section of the resource we will walk through terminology, ways to create an inclusive classroom, supporting students, dealing with parents and guardians and more.

While some of this information may be new to some of you and not to others, there are hopefully still ways in which we can all learn and grow.
